Diary of a Goatherder January 23, 1980 (continued)

My shelter from this wind is a six by eight foot plywood shack. The four corner posts are
cemented into the ground. It has a tin roof, screens and shutters. I built it myself, mostly
of salvaged lumber, and I'm not finished with it yet. But my attention lately is on finishing
fencing another pasture.

DIANA
No one ever found Diana Stream's body. No one in a human form ever found the corpse. It was an old
mountain lion that came upon the fresh, sweet meat, cool after the summer evening rain.
